The goal from this project is to create a gelocated mobile application prototype in Figma with our concept ideation.
Sweet Escape is an innovative geo-located mobile application that uses augmented reality (AR) to create an engaging, interactive experinece for users in Melbourne CBD. Through this app, users can hunt virtual sweets in 10 different locations to claim real-world rewards like vouchers and discounts. The goal of this project was to enhance user engagement, boost business visibility, and improve user retention. To address these, I conducted user interviews, field testing, surveys, focus groups, developing personas to represent target users. Brainstorming sessions led to low-fidelity wire-frames, which were refined through feedback loops. High-fidelity prototypes were developed using Figma, with a focus on visual design and the features of the app. Usability testing sessions with potential users provided valuable feedback, which was used to iterate on the design.
The final solution delivered a fun hunting AR experience, simplified navigation, and seamless rewards system, resulting in increased user engagement, positive feedback from users.
The design features is clean, visually appealing interface that encourages exploration and interaction. Users can easily locate participating cafes and restaurants, collect virtual sweets, and redeem their rewards with easy navigation. The multiple kinds of AR sweets added an extra layer of excitement, making the app not only functional but also enjoyable and immersive. Moreover, by integrating this app, it will create a win-win scenario for both users and business owners. Users gain enjoyable experiences and tangible rewards, while business benefit from increased visibility and customer loyalty. This project exemplifies how craetive and strategic UX design can drive meaningful user engagement, It showcases my ability to combine user-centered design principles with innocative technology to create solutions that are both delightful and impactful.
